Allied's founder Allan Fried has almost 20 years of experience in the entertainment business. He began his career in the mailroom of ICM (International Creative Management). Soon becoming an Assistant Agent in the music department.
Moving into music publishing he then went to BMI before becoming Creative Director at EMI Music Publishing. Fried then joined BMG where he became Vice President International A&R/Artist Development, working on album development and global marketing launches for some of the biggest artists in music,
including The Dave Matthews Band, David Bowie, Al Green, and Toni Braxton. Sensing the future impact of technology on the music business Fried Joined Knitmedia as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all areas of the company developing content for broadband, cable TV, The Internet, and live music events
such as The Bell Atlantic (Verizon) Music festival.
